They arrived precisely at 12...with 4 containers of chocolate cake...
plus candles and plastic spoons...
but no lighter.
herm.... =)
with big smiles plastered on their faces...
they knocked down my door...
sang me the happy birthday song...
made me the happiest person on the face of the earth.
we laughed...we talked...then, laughed some more.
cracking jokes...gossiping...
all worries disappeared - nothing else seemed to have mattered anymore.
having friends around you really mean something...
having friends to celebrate your birthday with...is priceless.
i think, i will sleep all smiling tonight...
even if i have a nightmare,
i know i'll wake up smiling remembering the night before.

Oh, it just gets better. Another year & then another & truly, truly, you eventually get to that spot where you just don't care what anyone really thinks anymore, and it is unbelievably freeing.
